It produces what European law calls a simple electronic signature: an image of your handwriting embedded in the document. That is what is accepted every day on a rental agreement, an expense claim, a school form or a quote, and it carries the same weight as a page you would have printed, signed and scanned back. It is not a qualified electronic signature, the kind backed by a certified identity check. If your document explicitly calls for one, use a certified provider.

Not as it stands. An encrypted PDF displays correctly but cannot be written back without producing an unreadable file, so the export is blocked rather than left to fail silently. Remove the protection from the software that produced the file, then come back.
